Residential Map

The campus map of the University of South Florida encompasses every building. The problem USF's Housing department encountered was presenting the official USF campus map at the time of room selection. The official campus map overwhelmed the students. All they needed at the time of selection was the residential buildings and classrooms. The project assigned to me was just that. A map to showcase the residence halls and the classrooms, along with major landmarks.

To achieve that goal, I began to sketch, ink and color in Procreate. I went with an isometric view for tactile purposes. It was the most efficient way to include all necessary buildings associated with housing, and omitting the areas leadership requested. Then, I took my efforts to Illustrator, where I created iconography and building codes. And finally, integrated the final product through InDesign to design proper layout and generate a web friendly and print-ready exports.
